Creating An Entire Fragrace Company From Scratch

This was the most challenging but extremely fulfilling project for me as I used everything that I learned so far, learned many more skills and integrated it into one project. Learning about bakhoor (fragrance-soaked wood chips), the beauty of the bakhoor ritual and recognizing and finding how to incorporate and introduce this beautiful Arab tradition to the US was the opportunity of a lifetime.

I did extensive research on the beauty industry in the US, bakhoor and electric bakhoor burners. I found a whitespace in the market for aromatherapy-inspired bakhoors, and a modern and beautifully aesthetic electric bakhoor burner that integrates seamlessly into the modern Western home. I also handled marketing, pricing, consumer profiles, the introduction of a new product, packaging, a photo shoot, a film shoot for this project. The most fulfilling part of this project was building and managing a team of 10 skilled experts in various fields that all contributed immensely to the success of this brand. This all-encompassing project was truly rewarding, and is definitely my favorite so far.
